Back
of Chapel is one of the best hostels I have ever been to. Met
gorgeous people who were like a family to me as everybody took care of
everybody – with respect. I will miss the laid-back atmosphere,
the big screen, the laughs. But it’s still a positive experience
stuck in my head! Thx to the boss, and the manager Peter! I
appreciate your kindness!

This was
my first hostel experience and I feel lucky that I have had such a
friendly, efficient, positive first experience. It has served my
needs when I needed it most. Thanks for all of the staff for
everything they have done to make it what it was; a hassle free
friendly time in Chapel Street. I will not hesitate to recommend
you to others.

for having such a great hostel. A true home thousands of miles
from home. Peter is fantastic. always helpful and friendly,

a great time over the last 3 weeks – great atmosphere, loving the

What
can we say? The most homely hostel we have found, great staff,
great atmosphere, and the greatest group of people we have had the
pleasure to meet. Thanks to everyone for making this time in
Melbourne so memorable. Hope Xmas and New Year is fantastic for
everyone.

I
have been in australia for nearly 10 months and having travelled all
the way round i now know what makes the best backpackers after staying
in jus over 65 of them! this is the best one i have ever stayed in….
i will let you in to a secret! ok so its new but the thing about this
backpackers and the key to it so far is that it has been maintained.
the cleanest and most friendliest staff i have ever met, down to
earth and always willing to help. location is a must in a backpackers,
here the heart (back off) chapel street, short walk to st kilda and a
small tram to city means you have EVERYTHING at your feet. you can even
book tours from your own comfort of the hostel and has a wide selection
he will book. This clean, friendly unique backpackers makes staying in
melbourne a must and a worth while memory. a home from home.
Travelling
on your own?! here (manager) makes you feel at home and involves you in
everything possible that the hostel offers. i know most of you wanna
say to hostel managers if you dont like back packers then dont work
with them, beacuse to be honest most are moody and boring. NOT here,
complete oposite. thanks for everything and good luck to you and your
team for the future…. I will be back!

I have stayed at heaps of hostels throughout Europe and the US, and I can
honestly say that Back of Chapel is one of the best hostels I have ever
stayed in. It is brand new, very clean and the staff are amazing. They make
you feel at home, offer great advice on places to go and things to do. The
facilities are great – the lounge has the hugest TV I’ve ever seen and comfy
couches! The free BBQ’s on Sunday are a great way to meet other travellers.
I also love the location – 20 metres from one of the trendiest streets in
Melbourne and close to major train line and trams. I would thoroughly
recommend staying at Back of Chapel, I will stay there when I return to
Melbourne.
